Activity Reports
One of the most important tools a Patrol Officer has is the ‘Daily Activity Report’.
This report presents a complete picture of everything that has happened during
the course of
a work shift. There are many occasions during a work shift that
officers will obtain information or perform services which
they must record.
They are required to put this information in writing for a number of reasons:
Indication that the officers are performing their duties according to outlined procedures.
Keep the client informed of any irregularities at the site.
Demonstrate their awareness while on duty.
Protect the client and themselves from accusations that might be made
concerning the safety of the site.
